I was picked up from home, nephew Glenn drove from Bendigo, Brothers Bryan and Joe occupied the back seat and presented me with a cold V B so for the first time I had a can travelling along my street. One minor hiccup when Nancy rang to tell me I had left my travelling bag at home, a quick U turn solved that problem.
It was only a two can trip, the girl at Reception won us when she took a guess and said “The McMahon boys have arrived”. The rooms were O K but no fridge; we had a look at the 1st, 9th, 10th and 18th.holes then decided to attack the 19th. Which we birdied.

Spent a lot of time checking out the Peter Thomson and Doug Balchi trophy room, Royal Park has donated a few items to that room.
We had to struggle to get into our suits but managed to make it.

The McMahon brothers, suited up, in the Clubrooms.
Dinner was a fine meal, a good selection and the cost was reasonable. The dining room was very busy. A few cleansing ales to wash the food down then off to bed by 10 pm.
Eight o'clock tee off after a good cooked breakfast; Golfers everywhere so we had to hit off the 10th.
The Course was in top condition, just a little bit better than Royal Park.
I thought the course was not that difficult except for the Par 3’s, you could not see the greens for bloody bunkers, towards the end of my round I had become a good bunker player. There was a 500m par 5 that gave us a lot of misery. Joe was the winner but no other scores will be mentioned.

Plenty of Photos were taken, a lot of time spent posing with the Peter Thomson statue.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Thanks to the Royal Park and Victoria Golf Clubs for making it all possible.
A great experience.
